He was told that he SHOULD mix the fruits and veggies for each meal because it's about maintaining your insulin level, not about breaking down the food easier. Some vegetables burn faster than others because of the carbohydrate level, etc., so it's better to eat two different kinds together to keep a constant fat burning level going on in your body. When one burns faster and is gone, the other one can keep your body burning. Same with the fruits. Actually even more so with the fruits because fruit tends to have a higher sugar level.,
