Surgery is NOT a weight loss method!!! Surgery fixes NOTHING! It does not change your eating issues or what made you fat in the first place. I know one woman who almost died 6 times in her first year after surgery because one of the things that made her fat in the first place was that she drank 18 cups of coffee with 2 tablespoons of sugar in each. She was 200 pounds overweight before the surgery and yes she did lose weight, but because she still drank too much coffee with too much sugar she was repeatedly in the hospital after the surgery and eventually about 5 years later did die. Her regime was probably more responsible for her death than the surgery was, but surgery was not the answer.
I know another woman who had a tummy tuck, and while she had a huge apron belly before the tummy tuck, which did not return, she gained an enormous amount of weight above the tummy tuck area, and her weight was all around her waist instead of her lower abdomen, she looked worse than if she had not had a tummy tuck she severely regretted her tummy tuck.
These kinds of surgeries are not the answer. They are like putting a bandaid on a cut that needs stitches without doing the stitches. They will not solve anything In fact, you can have a lot of excess weight, including an apron belly and if you lose weight slowly, the skin will shrink back into its proper place, except in the most extreme circumstances. This is WHY you need to lose weight slowly and from learning new eating behaviors.,
