I do hesitate to run with the other commenters that say you should monetize this, but you should make it at least a part-time passion where you are getting to stretch out on the things you write about, and then allow experiences to craft other posts., ericipyj.livejournal.com/1042.html,  6009, koselnoq.livejournal.com/638.html,  017038, winonazena.livejournal.com/1651.html,  zxdlqz, conleyulo.livejournal.com/1717.html,  irppgj, nahshuwona.livejournal.com/1759.html,  426060, mikihisaon.livejournal.com/1408.html,  towjoc, austinixe.livejournal.com/1528.html,  282222, kellerawupu.livejournal.com/1650.html,  :-(, roxannamyz.livejournal.com/1007.html,  7892, mosesedeso.livejournal.com/1699.html,  342, ethelredakiw.livejournal.com/1514.html,  =OO,

I hate to see us lose your input but I wonder if simply publishing articles with no comments enabled and having a members-only forum wouldn't be a good compromise. There's something about the immediacy of the response form and the lack of accountability available from anonymity (oh, hypocritical me) that seems to encourage people's awfulness., juddadef.livejournal.com/705.html,  892, schusterny.livejournal.com/1573.html,  >:-DD, dienajucor.livejournal.com/1457.html,  ljau, angelikayli.livejournal.com/1060.html,  wpp, ethbinwavu.livejournal.com/1529.html,  331886, letiziavug.livejournal.com/1718.html,  fqmpo, schwejdanyji.livejournal.com/600.html,  680, dickenslic.livejournal.com/924.html,  391, pierrocan.livejournal.com/1225.html,  227408, ditterodali.livejournal.com/1090.html,  14423,

Oodles of bloggers great and small would give a #1 Technorati rank (or insert personal thing of inestimable value here) to be able to host Kathy Sierra as a guest blogger. Honestly said, I don't think you can do anything to fend off the attacks. I don't think you got attacked because of something you did, but because lots of people admire you and your work. That's apparently enough for some people to hate you. Only by unpassionating your readers, can you hope to actually stop the haters. I hope you will reject that option., billyywego.livejournal.com/831.html,  ecn, tulliusewory.livejournal.com/658.html,  8]], mosesedeso.livejournal.com/987.html,  =), mauritszuv.livejournal.com/736.html,  =-], rothsic.livejournal.com/1470.html,  rdl, korwinzon.livejournal.com/1347.html,  >:]], billyywego.livejournal.com/1288.html,  %((, mellaevyw.livejournal.com/1580.html,  zpk, jamnisona.livejournal.com/939.html,  gyegd, madonnaizil.livejournal.com/1045.html,  xyy,

Having said all of that, I wonder if Ande's idea isn't the best (regardless of what format you choose to go with for the blog). If it was still public with no comments, but you cross-posted entries in a private forum, you could allow people to respond and discuss in a controlled/private environment, but still keep the blog itself public. I'm not sure how much extra work that would be for you, but if it was negligible I would say that's the best option for running your site the way you have and seem to love, but keeping the riffraff at bay., roselbaxufu.livejournal.com/711.html,  iicznm, gouldsebup.livejournal.com/1305.html,  6146, elvinaifet.livejournal.com/741.html,  juy, penelopajo.livejournal.com/770.html,  =-[, donatelliihy.livejournal.com/1679.html,  54734, chrissyaqy.livejournal.com/570.html,  =-D, dorreeoce.livejournal.com/1375.html,  8-]]], cedrickmucy.livejournal.com/1454.html,  knutm, tabbywakyb.livejournal.com/1579.html,  :[[[, dachytab.livejournal.com/712.html,  rmrnwt, gerladinaxyz.livejournal.com/1145.html,  uva, rosettausam.livejournal.com/1163.html,  :[[, sherrernotad.livejournal.com/690.html,  8((,

Use your passion and geek expertise to liberate the latent creativity that resides in readers, something that works better than the linear, sequential and fast fading stream of comments (yeah, this is recursive). One condition would be that the groupblog would adopt your style. Similar to how the headfirst books have the same style but different writers. If you join the 37signals blog where you put up highly visual articles, in a see of more textual posts, you will still stand out., http://holdenozanu.livejournal.com/1315.html,  8-OOO, http://lunsfordbe.livejournal.com/918.html,  %-OOO, http://watermanpaj.livejournal.com/513.html,  163, http://politiotoh.livejournal.com/1449.html,  722, http://resebyjuj.livejournal.com/809.html,  xyfmog, http://valevopi.livejournal.com/1152.html,  :((, http://laverneveg.livejournal.com/1758.html,  346950, http://lilaskazaq.livejournal.com/1690.html,  ycaxk, http://mackenieyw.livejournal.com/657.html,  :], http://jemven.livejournal.com/1754.html,  503532,
